Client 1.15, Site Update

We're happy to announce a site update, as well as version 1.15 of the game client.

The site now includes a win/loss count against each player, as well as a "streak" count of latest wins or losses in a row. You will see this when you visit another player's profile page, in the upper-left corner with their profile information. This includes all games played to date, and will likely make some of our more competitive players all the more so.

The new game client includes quite a few bug fixes and changes, including:

  • A new option in the "options" menu to turn off auto-adding players when they join a game where you are the owner. This makes it easier to selectively add players.
  • Game ownership now rotates to the next player when the owner is offline and misses their turn.
  • When a player misses their turn and is offline, the game owner will now get a button to "skip" that player on future turns. They can also "unskip" the player at any point thereafter. This means you don't have to quit a game or wait as long when somebody forgets their turn or just leaves the game.
  • Win/loss totals are now announced at the completion of each game, encouraging bragging rights.
  • Mouseovers for the small icons in the player trays.
  • A few new "sounds" for those who know what I'm referring to.
  • Major fixes to games played without a timer.

This is the last client release before our Facebook beta launch, which we expect to happen in November. That launch will have a few additional features which we're excited about. Stay tuned.
